05/09/12: The Catastrophe is an Official Selection of the 2012 Indie Incubator Film Festival in Chicago!
The festival will be held at The Original Mother’s, located at 26 West Division in Chicago, on Tuesday, May 22nd at 8 PM. Admission is FREE. You can learn more about the screening here:

10/28/11: Ryan Taylor finished incorporating our new foley and mixing the sound yesterday. Post-production on The Catastrophe is finally complete!
10/22/11: I’m pleased to announce that Joe Crylen will be recording the last sound effects we need for our movie on a professional foley stage this weekend. Our final sound mix should be finished by the end of this coming week!
10/11/11: Our official World Premiere will be held the weekend of November 18 – 20th at the Illinois International Film Festival! (Exact dates and times TBA)

09/22/11: Our first DVD screener is in the mail. It’s in God’s hands now!
09/11/11: The color correction on The Catastrophe is complete. Our movie begins in high contrast black and white and then, very slowly, color starts to bleed into the image until the final scene, which ends in vibrant color 15 minutes later. We cannot wait to share these images with the world!
09/09/11: Shane Kliebenstein recorded his original score for The Catastrophe yesterday. The session occurred at the Elastic Arts Foundation and was engineered by Davis Krieg. Shane’s beautiful guitar score is full of arpeggios that subtly reflect the Middle Eastern influence in our film.
09/07/11: Picture editing on The Catastrophe is complete! The film is exactly 15 minutes and 34 seconds long.
09/04/11: I am pleased to announce that Claude Debussy’s Sonata for Cello and Piano will be featured in The Catastrophe. This is in addition to the other music already announced such as Shane Kliebenstein’s original score and Bob Dylan’s song “Ain’t Talkin’.”

8/21/11: Because of the strong influence of Persian literature and cinema on The Catastrophe, we are dedicating the film to imprisoned Iranian directors Jafar Panahi and Mohammad Rasoulof. 08/18/11: I am pleased to announce that production on The Catastrophe has wrapped. We plan on taking a fast track approach to post-production so that we might have a world premiere early next year. Stay tuned!
